Description | The scope of work includes the construction of a new pre-cast concrete vault at the intersection of Mudge Avenue and Lee Park in Hamilton, MA to house a new 6-inch backflow preventer, 6-inch compound service meter, 6-inch flanged ductile iron piping and appurtenances. The work also includes the installation of new 6-inch ductile iron pipe, gate valves and fittings to connect the new vault piping to the existing water main, new copper water service, site restoration, and the demolition and removal of an existing 4-foot diameter block meter chamber, water meter, water service and curb box, and associated piping All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including, but not limited to G.L. c.30, Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development and the weekly payroll record submittal requirements under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 through 27D inclusive. The bidder agrees that its bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of the bids. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. |
