Yard Waste Facility Programmable Sign

The selected contactor shall perform the following services: 1. The new sign shall be installed in the same general area as the existing sign. Refer to Attachment A for a picture of the existing sign and immediate area. 2. The new sign shall be erected and installed based on manufacturer’s instructions. 3. Contractor shall be responsible for all permits, inspections, and approvals by City departments. 4. Contractor shall provide and install a programmable sign with the following specifications and as conceptually depicted in Attachment B: A. Sign style shall be a monument cabinet style that is similar to the existing sign. B. Sign shall conform to Article 7 of the City of Wyoming Zoning Ordinance. C. Sign shall be designed for ease of maintenance and service. D. Sign shall be double sided. E. Sign shall have a concrete base, or as required by the manufacturer. F. Sign shall be weather-proof, designed to withstand winds up to 100 mph and temperature extremes. G. Sign shall have a height between 70 and 80 inches. H. Sign shall have a width between 80 and 90 inches. I. Sign depth shall be sufficient to contain the electronics and lighting and shall be no greater than 18 inches. J. Sign electronics shall be protected from power surges and other electric interference. K. Sign shall be divided into three segments as identified in the concept design in Attachment B. The middle segment shall include the LED message center and the top segment shall include site identification and location information. L. The LED electronic message center, communication and software shall: i. Be manufactured by Electro-Matic or pre-approved equivalent of comparable quality. ii. Be two-sided and between 18 and 24 inches in height. iii. Have a resolution of at least 16 mm. Bidder shall provide price option for 10 or 11 mm resolution on bid tabulation form. iv. Have red LED color and have the ability to be scaled for gradients. Bidder shall provide price option for full color on bid tabulation form. v. Be capable of displaying graphics, time, and temperature. vi. Include a photo eye capable of dimming independently and automatically. vii. Be capable of wireless programming through a cellular connection. Contractor is responsible for providing and paying for the cellular connection for the life of the sign.
