**As of June 12, 2023, project was awarded to Olsson., and the awarded amount is $720,460.96** The Project base bid is to tear off the existing roof and install a new thermoplastic roof system assembly. The scope of the Project shall include all equipment, materials, labor, training, warranties and construction and/or installation services necessary to implement the contemplated construction of a thermoplastic roof system. A 20- year NDL Total System Manufacturer roof warranty covering poor workmanship and material defect is required upon completion. A 5-year Contractor roof warranty covering workmanship is required upon completion. Project is expected to occur summer of 2023 with an alternate for summer of 2024. All Bids for the Work shall be made only on the blank Bid Form included in the Project Manual and shall be complete with a Bid price for each and every item named. An authorized official must sign the Bid. Bids may be delivered by mail or in person. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. No telegraphic Bid or telegraphic modification of a Bid will be considered. Pre Bid Meeting is mandatory. Bidders who are not present at the pre bid will not be able to bid the project. Bids received after the time specified above will be returned unopened. NOTICE: Bids that contain omissions, erasures, alterations, or additions not called for, conditional or alternate Bids unless called for, or that contain irregularities of any kind may be rejected. Upon opening and examining the submitted Bid Proposals, the School anticipates awarding the Contract for the Work on the Project to the Bidder determined to be the lowest responsible Bidder. Western Springs School District #101 reserves the right to waive any irregularities, technicalities, informalities, and other nonmaterial variances contain in any Bid Proposal and to reject all Bids. The School reserves the right to hold any received Bid Proposal for a period of ninety (90) days from the opening date set forth above. The Contract shall be subject to "AN ACT regulating wages of laborers, mechanics and other workers employed in any public works by the state, county, city or any public body or any political subdivision or by anyone under contract for public works," approved June 26, 1941, as amended, except that where a prevailing wage violates a federal law, order, or ruling, the rate conforming to the federal law, order, or ruling shall govern. BID SECURITY: 10% of Bid will be included in the Bid Package. CONTRACT SECURITY: The successful Bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds covering the full amount of the Contract Price or Contract Sum securing full and faithful performance of the Contract and the payment for all labor material furnished by the Bidder or anyone furnishing such under the Bidder's contract or a subcontract of any tier. The successful Bidder will also be required to comply with the requirements under Illinois and federal law applicable to a public works project, including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act.
