Custodial Services for City Facilities

The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a multi-year contract for routine and emergency janitorial services at City facilities. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and quality control inspection for the complete, satisfactory, and high quality janitorial service. Offeror Questions Due in Writing: July 21, 2022 by 5:00 PM Q&A Addendum Issued: July 26, 2022 by 5:00 PM All questions regarding this Solicitation: (i) shall be submitted in writing by email to the Procurement Division, at procurement@gaithersburgmd.gov; and (ii) shall be received by the date and time specified in the Solicitation Schedule The Offeror shall submit with its Proposal an executed bid bond in an amount equal to 5% of the Offeror's total Proposal price. The bond shall include a certified copy of the Power of Attorney of the attorneyin-fact that executed the bond, Bonds payable to City of Gaithersburg. Performance Bond: The Contractor shall, within ten (10) business days following receipt of a notice of intent to award issued by the City, furnish to the City an executed performance bond in an amount equal to fifty (25%) of the total Contract sum. The performance bond shall: (i) be executed prior to the effective date of the Contract and not expire prior to the end of the term of the Contract; and (ii) include a certified copy of the Power of Attorney of the attorney-in-fact that executed the bond. The resultant contract period shall be from the date of contract awarded through June 30, 2024. By mutual agreement of parties, the resultant contract will be automatically renewed at five (5) additional one-year periods at a time through June 30, 2027. The City of Gaithersburg reserve the rights to reject proposals not meeting the minimum requirements. The Offeror shall be a competent and experienced contractor with an established reputation within the community.
