| Description | This project includes replacing two 48 concrete culverts with an aluminum arch (box) culvert. With coordination with the Town of Balsam Lake, the road may be closed for up to a week during construction. Flows at this location are generally low and shallow. Silt screen and cofferdams will need to be installed and rearranged periodically during construction phasing. In preparation for installation, the area for culvert placement must be slightly over-excavated for placement of the open graded base. Any removed materials may be placed on the roadway, but must be protected from eroding into the nearby waterway or wetlands. |
