Description

Amtrak intends to engage the construction services of a qualified contractor for the Southampton Street Rail Yard Building Management System Controls Upgrades projects in Boston, Massachusetts. The proposed work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: A. This project includes the installation of new exhaust fans, code compliant make-up system, electrical power connections to the fans and make-up air system, as well as commissioning & air balancing the new controls and exhaust fan systems. Work expected to be performed by Contractor Forces: Replace existing rooftop exhaust fans and suspended makeup air units Furnish and install new ductwork, supports, wall penetration sealing Provide power, controls and interlocks with exhaust fans and makeup air units Provide structural support for rooftop makeup-air units Provide electric unit heaters in warehouse Minimum Qualifications: Comparable Prime Contractor Project experience ($400K minimum) in the last 5 years Qualified list of construction personnel Financial resources /capability/bonding Resource commitment to completion of Project by June 30, 2023. Davis Bacon and certified payroll reporting It is anticipated that a Solicitation for this procurement will be issued soon after this ad closes. Note: If your firm has been pre-qualified for previous projects a letter of interest is only required if not changes have occurred to the previous submitted qualification package. In an effort to provide "maximum practicable opportunity" to participate in the provision of goods and services to Amtrak, prime firms under agreement with Amtrak are required to put forth Good Faith Efforts to contract with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). Therefore; a DBE subcontracting plan goal shall be established for this opportunity.
