Asphalt Replacement

The asphalt replacement will be in areas identified by CFPUA Operations staff. The areas needing replacement will include streets in City of Wilmington and New Hanover County. Most of the replacement will be in public right of way and easements. If private property is involved Authority Staff will coordinate with property owner. The areas will be identified by square footage. In the past 12 months approximately 334 tons of asphalt have been laid through the contract with the largest amount being 60 tons and the smallest 3 ton. On average between 4-5 jobs have been completed per month with 10 being the highest due to winter weather and the least being 1. There is no guarantee of the amount that will be used per year/month or the number of jobs that will occur. This contract is used the majority of the time for unplanned water and sewer repairs. Award shall based on price as well as contractors turnaround time on emergency and routine work. Quality of work will also be taken into account. Questions on Discrepancies, Conflicts, Errors, Omissions, Etc. Should the bidder detect any potential discrepancies, conflicts, errors, or omissions in the specifications, quote form, or other documents, or should be in doubt as to their meaning, the bidder should, at once, notify the Authority. The contract will commence October 26, 2022.
