Description

City of Saint Paul Parks Department is looking for bids on Como Zoo Administration Building Roof Replacement All interpretations shall be in writing or in the form of Addenda and all bidders shall be bound by such Addenda, whether or not received. No addenda will be issued later than seven (7) days prior to the date of bid opening. Project Summary: Removal and replacement of existing roof system consisting of: 1. Existing Roof System Areas A, B, C and D (approximately 65 squares) - 4-ply built up roof membrane with gravel surfacing, 1/2-inch wood fiber board insulation mopped to a layer of 1.5-inch isocyanurate insulation mechanically attached over a 2.75-inch layer of isocyanurate insulation over 2 layers of 1/2 -inch wood fiber board insulation over wood decking. 2. New Roof System Areas A, B, C and D - 60 mil fully adhered reinforced EPDM membrane, 1/2 inch high density Isocyanurate cover board set in low-rise foam adhesive over a new layer of 1" isocyanurate insulation mechanically attached through the existing insulation system to the existing wood deck. Contractor to use caution, new fasteners not to exceed 1 inch penetration through deck. At areas of additional tapered provide 1/8"/ft tapered rigid insulation system (Areas B, C and D) with isocyanurate fillers each set in low-rise foam. 3. Provide new 24 ga. gi. color-coated metal counter flashings to match. Provide new downspouts and splash blocks. Provide 1/2 inch per foot crickets and saddles at all, units, etc. Penetrations/details include but are not limited to: sleeper curbs, mechanical unit curbs, pipe penetrations, vent stacks, overflow scuppers, primary scuppers and roof drains. At perimeter scupper locations, enlarge existing openings to meet code. Provide new supports at conduit/gas piping locations. Oral Information Any questions concerning a solicitation must be directed in writing to only the designated purchasing official during the period of time prescribed in the solicitation document. All material answers to questions will be furnished as an Addendum to the Solicitation and will be posted on the City's Supplier Portal. Reliance upon any oral representation is at the sole risk of the supplier.
