Description

Notice is hereby given that the City of Starkville, Mississippi will receive sealed bids for the construction of improvements planned as part. The Starkville Mayor and Board of Aldermen meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, at 5:30 p.m. local time in the Courtroom at City Hall, 110 West Main Street, Starkville, Mississippi. For assistance and registration, contact Plan House Printing at 662-407-0193 or tupelo@planhouseprinting.com. Addendums to the bid package will be issued through the online Plan Holders List; therefore, all prime bidders shall be responsible for downloading the bid documents from the online plan room in order to be included in the Plan Holders List. Instructions to bidders, the applicable bid and binding forms, the plans and specifications, and the contract documents may be examined at the Office of the City Engineer, City Hall, 110 West Main Street, Starkville, Mississippi, during normal working hours, Monday through Friday. All questions should be sent to Stephen Kachelman, Engineering Department, by contacting him at s.kachelman@cityofstarkville.org or at telephone number (662) 323-2525 x. 3111. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank, payable without condition to the City of Starkville, Mississippi or a bid bond in the amount of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid as guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. All contractors responding to this advertisement for bids must comply with all applicable requirements of Chapters 3 and 5 of Title 31 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. Bid containers must be SEALED and marked. Upon the outside or exterior of which is found the contractor's current Certificate of Responsibility number or statement to the effect that the bid enclosed does not exceed $50,000.00 (fifty thousand dollars), pursuant to the provisions of 31-3-21 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days without the written consent of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, or to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the City.
