Precast Repair Project at Southside High School

Southside High School is a multistory, precast-concrete panel building completed in 2006. Currently, the building has water intrusion in the fenestration system along the corridor between the Commons Area and Gym and also at curtain wall system near an entrance. The project will consist of joint sealant replacement at specified locations, fenestration system wet-seal repairs, and roof’s drip edge repairs at designated locations. 1. Application of sealant along drip edge at perimeter; designated roof area. 2. Removal of existing joint sealant and backing at all joint locations including window perimeters, masonry or concrete intersections and other adjacent materials. 3. Replacement of joint sealant with new backer rod and silicone sealant. 4. Removal and replacement of existing wet-seal at windows per manufacturer’s recommendations. 5. Replacement of threshold and installation of new weather stripping at one (1) door
