Replacement of Water Mains - Old Farm Hill Water District Phase 3

Replacement of asbestos water mains, installation of new water mains, fittings, appurtenances, gate valves, valve boxes, fire hydrants, water service connections, air and vacuum chamber, concrete thrust blocks, bypass piping, traffic control, and pavement installation. The Town of Mount Pleasant, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any formality or any technicality in any proposal in the interest of the Owner. Installation of approximately 6,455 linear ft. of 12-inch diameter; and 9,025 linear ft. of 8-inch, 2,400 linear ft of 6-inch, diameter class 54, cement mortar lined ductile iron water mains, fittings, and appurtenances. o Installation of in-line gate valves and valve boxes, fire hydrant assemblies. o Replacement of water service connections and existing curb stops and curb boxes. o Installation of controlled low-strength material (CLSM), and foundation material on Town roads. o Installation of temporary bituminous concrete pavement on trench width. o Mill 2-inch-thick existing asphalt and temporary pavement (trench width). o Installation of 2-inch-thick permanent bituminous concrete pavement (6-foot wide trench area) including the raising of all existing valve boxes (water and gas) and manhole frames and covers to the proposed grade. o Installation of Concrete Thrust Blocks o Installation of 12-inch x 12-inch x 8-inch tapping sleeve and 8-inch tapping valve, Valve Box & Cover, in this size and various sizes - as needed. o Installation of 12-inch, 8-inch, and 6-inch diameter Insertion Valve, Valve Box & Cover o Piping modifications to the existing water main system. o Installation of Air & Vacuum Valve Chamber as needed. o All other pertinent work including excavation of rock, removal, and disposal of the excavated material (hazardous, if any), temporary water main bypass piping, testing, and disinfection of water mains, traffic control, temporary and permanent vegetative cover
