Timber Sale - GFC Miller Tract

Unit sale of pine and hardwood on 169.06 acres of Georgia Forestry Commission property located in Baldwin County. The sale area is located approximately seven (7) miles west of Milledgeville, GA; The location is further described by Georgia Atlas & Gazetteer page 35, block C9. This timber sale consists of 169.06 acres of pine and hardwood to be clear cut; areas are described on the harvest map in the attached timber sale contract. Stands to be clear cut are accessible off Monticello Road NW via easement through Weyerhaeuser property and Highway 212. This sale includes a mixture of pine products, including pulpwood, chip & saw, saw timber and poles. Hardwood volume consists of pulpwood. Our estimate of total timber volume is 14,531 tons of pine and 874 tons of hardwood; volume is not guaranteed. A significant amount of understory material is present throughout the sale area. Although not required but encouraged, this material along with un-merchantable round-wood material is suitable for producing fuel chips.
