Description

The City of Richmond’s Department of Public Works Transportation Engineering Division (TED) operates and maintains 479 traffic signalized intersections, 60 school flashers, and 49 flashers\beacons. TED is also responsible for the maintenance of 34 CCTV Surveillance Cameras, 17 miles of twisted pair copper cable, 55 miles of fiber optic cable, and 54 wireless radio communication. In addition, TED maintains a variety of vehicle detection equipment as loops, video detection cameras, “hockey” pucks, 360º detection cameras, radar, and microwaves.
