Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Regrade approximately 1.3 miles of drainage ditches. 2. Installation of approximately 758 LF of box culverts at intersecting roadways. 3. Reconstruction of approximately 100 linear feet of roadway. Questions are to be submitted on the CIVCAST website. The deadline for questions is 5:00 pm on Friday February 24. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to Aransas County or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to Aransas County Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
