Research Administration Building (RAB) Elevator Remodel

The work of this project consists of some selective demolition of the existing 4 stop elevator equipment, cab, and controls to facilitate the new installation of a New Custom ADA Stretcher Ready Elevator with new stainless-steel finishes, new elevator control room and increased elevator access door and controls, associated electrical, etc. All work is associated with providing a new elevator in an existing historic building and existing elevator hoistway and pit and existing elevator penthouse located directly above the hoistway. The new elevator controls will be housed in an existing room on the basement level, formally a janitor’s Closet.
