Description | the work for which consists of removal of the existing asphalt roof and replacement of the roof system with a new PVC membrane roof at several buildings at the water plant including, select demolition, deck infill at abandoned equipment penetrations, masonry repairs at through wall flashings,safety railing installation,skylight replacement, roof drainage, lightning protection, and other such work as may be necessary to complete the contract, in accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, special provisions, and City of Columbus Construction and Material specifications set forth in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). The intent of the Contract is to provide for the construction, execution and completion of every detail and element of the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall perform all items of work covered and stipulated in the Proposal, perform altered and extra work, and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies required to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. Should any dispute or misunderstanding arise as to the intent or meaning of any of the Contract Documents, or any discrepancy therein, the decision of the Engineer shall be final and conclusive as to the requirements for performance of the Work; provided, however, if the Contractor disagrees with such decision, it may dispute the decision in accordance with 104.03. All work shall be substantially complete within 390 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed, with final completion to occur within 420 calendar days. The City anticipates issuing a Notice to proceed on or about July 24, 2023.
