Description | The City of New Smyrna Beach is requesting proposals for the purpose of resurfacing sports courts at Detwiler Park. The City's needs are outlined in the following Request for Proposal ("RFP"). The selected firm shall be issued a contract for services for the project time period. The term of this contract shall begin after the commission has approved the purchase and the final signature is on the contract. The City of New Smyrna Beach reserves the right to terminate this agreement, with or without cause, with thirty (30) days notification. 5 current tennis courts -Machine sand surface of courts. -Patch large open cracks 1/16" or larger with acrylic patch mix. -Remove any weeds or insects that are on or around the court -Flood courts with water and after all surrounding areas have dried, patch remaining areas holding water over the thickness of a nickel with acrylic patch mix. Areas that hold water less than the thickness of a nickel are considered to be within tolerance by the USTA and ASBA. -Remove and replace all center anchors. -Apply minimum of one (1) coat of acrylic resurfacer over entire surface of courts to have smooth surface. -Apply minimum of two (2) coats of California Products Corporation Fortified Plexipave, equal or better, color coating over entire surface of courts to have a smooth surface. -Paint regulation tennis court markings with white textured line paint. -In addition to the tennis court markings, also paint two of the courts with regulation pickleball court markings with textured paint. -Replace 5 tennis nets and 5 pairs of posts. Pickleball will use the same nets as tennis. 1 Basketball court -Machine sand surface of court. -Patch large open cracks 1/16" or larger with acrylic patch mix. -Repair broken section of concrete by the south basket -Flood court with water and after all surrounding areas have dried, patch remaining areas holding water over the thickness of a nickel with acrylic patch mix. Areas that hold water less than the thickness of a nickel are considered to be within tolerance by the USTA and ASBA. -Apply a minimum of one (1) coat of acrylic resurfacer over entire surface of court to have a smooth surface. -Apply a minimum of two (2) coats of California Products Corporation Fortified Plexipave, equal or better, color coating over entire surface of court to have a smooth surface. -Paint regulation basketball court markings with white textured line paint. Optional Fencing -Cost to replace all fencing fabric 6 gauge black coated and hardware -Cost to add windscreen to all fencing. -Cost to repair fencing, hardware. | ||||||||
