Description | This is the solicitation for Maintenance Dredging of the Maurice River in Cumberland County, New Jersey. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Maintenance Dredging of the Maurice River in Cumberland County, New Jersey. Contract work will consist of Maintenance Dredging of the Maurice River, New Jersey federal navigation channel to a depth of 8 ft MLLW plus 1 ft of allowable over-depth to clear approximately 62,000 cubic yards of fine-grained sediment from the channel. Beneficial use placement of dredged sediments involving marsh restoration alternatives will be utilized on two 9-acre plots in the Heislerville State Wildlife Management Area. Option 1 includes dredging and placement of an additional 19,000 cubic yards of fine-grained channel sediments. Due to environmental restrictions, dredging and placement can only occur from 15 September 2023 to 28 February 2024. The contract period of is 210 calendar days. The of Construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The NAICS code for this project is 237990. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside Competition, Invitation for Bids (IFB). The award will be made as a whole to one responsible bidder in accordance FAR part 14 Procedures. This IFB has definitive responsibility criteria which is outlined in the solicitation. The bid opening is currently scheduled for 01 August 2023 at 2:00 PM EDT. Reference the solicitation instructions for bid opening and details. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO CHECK SAM.GOV FREQUENTLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS OR CHANGES TO THE SOLICITATION, INCLUDING THE BID OPENING DATE. Bonding will be required at the time of bid opening, and after award but before Notice to Proceed, and Bonds will be required. The awarded contract will contain Liquidated Damages at the rate specified in the Solicitation.
