Description | Public Works Garage Site Work and Building Pad Significant Items Include Approximate Quantities: 6" Sanitary Sewer Lateral 23 Cy Concrete Foundation 338 Sy Building Slab 8" Thick 78 Sy Concrete Apron, 8" Thick 135 Sy Concrete Apron, 6" Thick Restoration of Stone Parking Area. Each proposal bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, of which, the amount of the bond or certified check need not exceed $20,000, made payable to the Township of West Deptford. Consent of Surety and Power of Attorney is required for the Performance Bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish, within ten (10) days after the award, a Surety Corporation Performance Bond or Letter of Credit equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. All applicable surety bonds or LOC required must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570-Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds) and such surety company must be acceptable to the Township Administrator and authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. The Township of West Deptford reserves the right to reject any and all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any bid or bids so received The Sanitary Sewer Lateral item is changed to: Provide (1) 4" brass floor drain, a 4" trap and extend pvc sanitary drain pipe to 5 feet beyond the building foundation. The remainder of the sanitary lateral line, exterior cleanouts, and connection to the sewer main in the street will be done by others. Work of this Public Works Garage Project is intended to provide the Owner with a completed concrete building pad foundation, with reinforced concrete aprons and a sanitary sewer lateral which are ready for a building contractor to use for erection of a pre-manufactured steel garage. No building assembly or construction is included in this Sitework contract This Sitework contract does include furnishing and setting the anchor bolts for the future steel building into the formed concrete slab pad. This contract includes earth subgrade preparation and construction of concrete footings. Installation of under slab insulation is included. Connections of the foundation through the insulation into the slab is required. Grading and restoration of the adjacent stone parking area is required. No turf repair or landscaping is required. .Soil Erosion controls are required, to the extent that the Conservation District deems necessary. The new building will be located on the Public Works facility, 22 Grove Avenue, West Deptford, NJ adjacent to the existing building. No connection to the existing building is required. A reinforced concrete apron will extend from the existing asphalt apron at the covered patio, to and around the new building. |
