New River Regional Landfill Class I Landfill Cell 7 Expansion Construction Landfill Liner Installation

To install a double-lined bottom-liner system for the New River Regional Landfill (NRRL) Class I Landfill Cell 7 Expansion Construction. The Cell 7 Expansion area is approximately 17 acres. The successful Bidder will be responsible for constructing a double geosynthetic liner system consisting of two layers of 60-mil textured high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane, two layers of 300-mil geocomposite, and 24 inches of drainage sand. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing all labor, work, materials, equipment, tools, safety, site work, drainage sand, testing, and incidentals for performing all work necessary and as required by the Contract Documents, Technical Specifications, and Drawings. NRSWA will provide the following for this project: 60-mil HDPE textured geomembrane (not including the extrudate rod), 300-mil geocomposite, 8 oz/sy and 16 oz/sy geotextile, trench gravel, HDPE pipe, soil fill, trench gravel, pumps. NRSWA will also be responsible for installing the compacted clay subbase, leachate pumps, trench gravel, and stormwater system. The bottom-liner construction time is estimated to be 10 months.
