Description | **As of October 16, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Bid guarantee in the amount of 5% of the total bid must accompany any bid submitted. The 5% bid guarantee may be in the form a bid bond secured and issued by a surety or guaranty company authorized to do business in the State of Wyoming or a cashiers check made payable to the City of Cheyenne. The successful bidder shall furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the accepted bid. A surety bond is required for contracts over $150,000.00. Provisions of Wyoming Statute 15-1-113 are, by reference, made an express part of the contract documents. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formalities in the bidding. The installation window will need to be completed in the Spring of 2024, as the City cannot have the replacement occur while the ice is installed this Fall. The ice is typically removed around March 15, 2024. The project completion deadline shall be April 30, 2024. a. Removal and disposal of existing cooling tower. b. Cooling tower to be placed on existing concrete pad and stand located on the Northwest corner of Cheyenne Ice and Events Center. c. The Itemized Bid Sheet separates the costs relating to the purchase of the new condensing unit, and the installation of the new condensing unit. i. The City is willing to pay for the equipment prior to installation once the unit is delivered - prior to installation. The City can store the unit at the Ice & Events Center, or it may be stored at the property of the Contractor. Proper evidence that the unit has been delivered, and a Certificate of Stored Materials may be required prior to payment. Scope of Work a. Provide and implement any necessary traffic plans. b. Apply and provide any necessary city permits for construction and removal of old evaporative condenser. c. Contractor to ensure entire perimeter is closed at the end of each workday, to ensure the public cannot access the area. d. The City has specified the following product for installation: i. Baltimore Aircoil company, inc. ii. Model VCL-134 EVAPORATIVE CONDENSER. With a Certified Capacity: 112.56 Tons based on 90.0F condensing temp. and 10.00F suction temp. with an entering air wet bulb of 63.00F. Refrigerant: R717. iii. Fan Motor: One (1) 10 HP fan motor: Totally Enclosed, Air Over 1 Speed/1 Winding - Premium Efficiency (Inverter Duty), suitable for 460 Volt 3 phase, 60 hertz electrical service. Drives are based on 0 inches ESP. 1. Alternate products shall be submitted in writing prior to the Question Submission Deadline (June 5, 2023). The City reserves the right to approve substitutes, and determine equivalency in substitute products. e. Contractor responsible for any and all sub-contracting, parts, and equipment and must be included in bid. f. Construction Staging is available on-site. g. Photos of existing unit are included for reference. |
