Description

2.1 We are seeking proposals from qualified Sports Turf Contractors as to the terms under which they would undertake these projects as a simultaneous package of work. We intend to select the sports turf contractor for the project based on this competitive process and then work with that Contractor for the duration of the project to assist with the following • Advise on sequencing of the required scope • The determination of ‘means and methods • Provide access to area where discarded materials can be hauled, • Advise in the acquisition of required materials • Conduct periodic inspections to verify appropriate materials, placement and construction. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in any bid. The work to be performed generally includes: A design / build project to address The renovation of the Vail Athletic Field including new irrigation, turf work (stripping, grading with crown, sub grade material and install new turf), perimeter drainage and root barrier, and installation of Rugby goal posts. Bids shall be submitted on a lump sum basis. The award may be on the basis of the base bid. Request for emailed details should be made to Scott O Connell with the Vail Recreation District at soconnell@vailrec.com or by calling (970) 477-5264. Copies of the Drawings and Project Specifications are also on file and may be examined at the Vail Recreation District Administrative office address during normal working hours beginning July 29th, 2022. Each Bidder shall file with his Bid a cashier s check, or a Bid Bond, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance, Payment and Warranty Bond guaranteeing faithful performance. No Bids may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days after the date Bids are opened.
