Description

As of August 25, 2022, Owner is considering authorization for re-advertisement of this project. Timeline is unknown. Furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for: Rice Drive Culvert Replacement. The principal items of work to be performed under this project include: - Remove existing culvert and storm sewer system, and - Install new culvert pipes, endwalls, storm sewer piping and inlets, and - Construct new concrete curb, sidewalk, railings, guiderails, and - Complete full depth roadway reconstruction and partial mill and overlay of (1) Township Road above culvert section; The bid award date shall be announced at the bid opening or in person at Jones Engineering Associates, Inc., 10 Canal Street, Suite 332, Bristol, PA 19007, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., A copy of the plans and specifications will be available for review on the Falls Township Municipal Website. Checks shall be made payable to Jones Engineering Associates, Inc. All bids must be addressed to the Owner and be marked "Sealed Bid for Rice Drive Culvert Replacement" on the bid submission document. Delivery of all bids to the Office of the Township Manager will be the sole responsibility of the bidder. Questions regarding the specifications shall be directed to Joseph G. Jones, P.E., the Owner's Engineer, at 215-377-9244. The bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Owner and the bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of the bid, made payable to the Owner. All bids must be accompanied by a Surety's Consent. Said surety to be licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bond in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to the Owner. ("Public Works Contractors' Bond Law of 1967," P.L. 869, 8 P.S. 191 et seq) The Bidder's attention is called to the fact that the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act applies to this Contract and that the successful Bidder shall pay no less than the Wage Rates determined for the project area as set forth in the Contract Documents. In addition, The Falls Township Responsible Contractor Ordinance applies to this project and it is a specific requirement that any contractor who submits a bid provide PennDOT pre-qualified certification. The successful bidder shall take affirmative action to ensure that applicants for employment and employees or agents are treated without discrimination based upon race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, sex, or disability. If the contract is awarded it will be to the lowest responsible bidder, however the Owner reserves the right to reject any and or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. No bidder may withdraw a bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, except in accordance with the terms of PA Act 4 of 1974, latest revision.
