2023 Paving On-call Project

This paving project comprises a county wide On-call asphalt patching and paving bid package for areas located within Pickens County. The project includes patching, pavement repair, and replacement. All new installation and work shall stay within the County's prescribed ditch-to-ditch right-of-way. The project includes patching, pavement repair, and replacement. All new installation and work shall stay within the County's prescribed ditch-to-ditch right-of-way. The project will incorporate asphalt patching and paving as requested by Pickens County where possible within the County's right-of-way and without impacts to existing utilities and jurisdictional wetlands or streams. Existing hydraulic features (ditches, outfall locations, and pipe sizes) will be maintained. Construction materials, techniques, and specifications shall adhere to SCDOT's regulations and standards. FINAL PROJECTS TO BE CONSTRUCTED UNDER THIS ON-CALL CONTRACT WILL BE DETERMINED BY PICKENS COUNTY AND SHALL UTILIZE THE SUBMITTED BID UNIT PRICES. Example Project Details: Roadway Miscellaneous Asphalt Surface Paving (varies 20'-1000') ($/SY surface or binder course) Administration Building Parking Lot Repairs o Parking Lot Area (approx. 14,555 SY) o Entrance Drive (approx. 3,633 SY) ($/LB crack sealing, $/SY preventative maintenance surface treatment, $/TONS surface overlay, $/SY Milling, $/SY FDP, $/LF pavement markings) Various County Facility Parking Lot Repairs o Parking Lot Areas (varies approx. 555-5555 SY) ($/LB crack sealing, $/SY preventative maintenance surface treatment, $/TON surface overlay, $/SY Milling, $/SY FDP, $/LF pavement markings) This will be a 1-yr contract with the option to extend another year o Option to negotiate revised cost if contract is extended For patching jobs, contractor would need to be available within 1 week of notification and a firm date will be provided to them with at least 48-hrs of lead time. For parking lot jobs, contractor would need to be available within 1 month of notification and actual date will be agreed upon by both parties at least 2 weeks prior to work. There are no roadway plans available for this project. Interested bidders desiring further information or interpretation of the Proposal, including Attachment "A", shall make a written request for such information to Pickens County no later than 5:00 pm (EST) on June 1, 2023.
