Description | Site Directions: Jefferson Street from Madison Street north to cul-de-sac and easement area between Jefferson Street and Kase Street. The Project consists of reconstructing approximately 775 lineal feet of Jefferson Street from Madison Street north to the cul-de-sac. Work to be completed includes replacing 8" sanitary sewer; installing new 8" water main; replacing storm sewer; and full street reconstruction. The Project also includes replacing sanitary sewer and storm sewer through and easement area from Jefferson Street to Kase Street. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the Bidder as soon as the contract is signed. If after 15 days the Bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 72 hours of bid opening to Delta 3 Engineering, Inc., Attn: Dan Dreessens, 875 S. Chestnut Street, Platteville, Wisconsin 53818. Bids may not be withdrawn within 90 days after the date of the bid opening. The OWNER reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work, or to omit portions of the work, as may be deemed necessary by the OWNER, and the same shall in no way affect or make void the contract, except those additions to, or deductions from, the contract price will be appropriately made. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids, or any part of a bid, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the OWNER, will best serve the interest of the OWNER. |
