Description | Project Location: The Barnum Museum - 820 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06604 Project cost range is anticipated to be under $6 million dollars. NPS Historic Landmark Building Envelope Repairs, Restoration, including new architectural, structural and minor MEP work. The project primarily consists of: a. Historic Masonry and Windows Restoration at Roofs and Building Facades Existing windows with curved glass will be replaced with curved glass to match. b. EPDM & Liquid Applied Roofing c. Structural Repairs and New Work d. New Lightning Protection and Maintenance, Repairs or New MEP system components required to maintain Life Safety of existing building. All Interior Storm sashes are eliminated from project Bid Scope. Interior Storm Sashes are NOT IN CONTRACT. Mock-Ups for Historic Work repairs and restoration will be installed as noted on documents. The Contractor will be responsible for providing Temporary Facilities and Port-o-Potties. Only the First floor of the existing historic building may be used for materials storage, provided care is taken to protect existing structure and finishes. The Contractor may establish his office on any floor of the existing historic building portion of the Museum. Construction activities shall not interfere with Museum Operations. The General Contractor shall apply for and provide all required Building Permits Bid Instructions are per AIA 701, Bid Bond = 5% of Max Lump Sum , Performance & Payment Bonds for 100% of project value to be furnished prior to contract signing. |
