Description | Agency Name and Address Dover, Town of 5 Springdale Avenue Dover, MA 02030 Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. General Contractor and Filed Subcontractor Request for Qualifications for the Dover Community Center project at 4 Springdale Avenue, Dover, MA. The project consists of 20,000SF of addition renovation of a Community Center Building and the associated sitework utilities, parking, vehicular paths, landscaping, etc. Additional Information Please contact John Bates, Owners Project Manager, with any questions. The Project consists of the demolition of the 1971 and 1931 additions to the original 1910, 2story Caryl School, complete gut renovation of the 1910 building, partial regrading of the site, installation of new MEP systems, septic system, installation of a water storage tank integral pump house to supply the Fire Suppression system, as well as the construction of a new addition housing a large Recreational Court and a Community Room, as well as 2story vertical circulation section attached to the back of the 1910 building. This is an addition renovation project totaling approximately 20,000sf. The addition foundation is poured in place concrete footings and foundation walls with structural steel predominantly the structure of the addition, with the exception being loadbearing CMU walls at the Recreational Court. The original 1910 building is a stone foundation with some new poured in place concrete underpinning required at areas, existing wood floor framing with new structural steel required at some areas along with new LVL beams throughout the 2 nd floor framing floor joists and new plywood subfloor throughout at the 2 nd floor and attic level. The partitions are metal stud and wood stud with drywall throughout the renovation and addition, with the exception of the CMU walls at the Recreational Court. The exterior envelope predominantly consists of brick veneer cladding at the exterior walls a percentage of the brick veneer at the 1910 building is to be repointed), new aluminum and fiberglass windows and storefront, TPO roofing membrane at the flat roofs, architectural asphalt shingle at the Pavilion structure at the 1910 building. |
