Interior Renovations for Kean University at Gateway Building 101

This project includes, but is not limited to, the following items. Interior wall and ceiling demolition New gypsum wall construction New door installation New acoustic and gypsum ceiling construction Cleaning and painting of existing ceiling grid; replacement of existing ceiling tiles Replacement of existing carpeting with carpet tiles and vinyl composite tile New millwork installation HVAC diffuser and grill replacement; air balancing of all spaces; cleaning of VAV coils New electrical receptacles Replacement of existing lighting with new lighting Installation of new data cabling and reuse of existing data cabling. All new data cabling must be terminated on an existing patch panel by this contractor. Plumbing at new break room and existing 3rd floor break room Security cage construction Modifications of existing fire alarm system The College and building will be in use during the entirety of this project. Safety precautions must be used to ensure the safety of the faculty, staff, students and the public at all times, including the installation of barriers and temporary walls, where necessary. Storage containers and dumpsters will be allowed in the parking lot at the rear, lower level of the building on a limited basis and the location must be approved by the College.
