Bridge Deck Overlay

This project proposes deck overlay and other repairs where a layer of concrete is laid on top of the bridge deck material to preserve and prolong the service life of these existing structures and help maintain their reliability and integrity to assure the continued safety of the traveling public. The bridges included are: Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) Westbound over Round Swamp Road, Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) Eastbound over Round Swamp Road, Interstate 495 (Long Island Expressway) over Locust Lane and Stewart Avenue to Southbound Meadowbrook State Parkway over Meadowbrook State Parkway Southbound Service Road in the Towns of Hempstead, North Hempstead and Huntington in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
