Westside High School Gymnasium - New Air Conditioning

Sealed Proposals for the construction of the Westside High School Gymnasium - New Air Conditioning shall be received by Steiling Architecture on behalf of Westside Consolidated School District, hereinafter termed Owner. Bids shall be submitted on the form provided in the Bidding Documents, and are to be delivered in a sealed opaque envelope clearly identifying the Project Name, Bidder's name and Bidder's valid Arkansas Contractor's license number on the front. Bids will be received at the Bid opening location and time. Bids not received for opening at Bid time and date listed above will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. C. Bidders must be properly licensed as a current General Contractor by the State of Arkansas at the time Bids are received. D. Bidders are to comply with Section 001150 - Supplementary Invitation for Bids as found in the Contract Documents. E. Bids will be based on a single lump sum basis for entire project. F. Partial funds for this Project are provided thru the Federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) Act. G. The United States Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Determination (Davis Bacon Wage Determination) applies to this project. Refer to Section 00 3110 - Wage Rate. H. Project Description: Minor demolition and renovation at existing gymnasium, in order to provide new rooftop HVAC systems to the existing non-air-conditioned gymnasium space. Construction will include cut-outs and infill in existing structural concrete block partitions, structural lintels, non-rated steel stud partitions, with gypsum wallboard and painted finishes, modifications to existing suspended acoustical ceilings, patching openings in existing steel roof deck and TPO membrane roofing system. Work includes HVAC and associated duct system, electrical, and fire alarm connections to existing system. Bid Documents may be examined at the offices of: 1. For the mutual protection of the Owner, Contractor and Architect, no partial sets of Contract Documents in either hard copy or electronic format will be issued. All contractors and sub-contractors interested in the project are encouraged to attend. L. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashiers or Certified Check, in an amount equal to 5% of the Bid submitted, and payable to the Westside Consolidated School District, must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required. M. Performance and Payment bond, equal to the Amount of the Contract, will be required of the bidder awarded the Contract (for successful bids that are in excess of $20,000.00). N. All bidders must conform to the requirements of the Arkansas Contractor's Licensing Board. O. No bidder may withdraw his Bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. P. Refer to Section 00 1150 - Supplementary Invitation for Bids for additional bidding information and bidding requirements. Q. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and waive any formalities not bound by Arkansas statutes. Proposals which fail to comply fully with any provision of the Bid Documents will be considered invalid and will not receive consideration. Proposals shall be addressed to the undersigned.
