Description

Burnet Woods Park is an urban oasis located in the heart of the Clifton neighborhood adjacent to the University of Cincinnati. Managed by the Cincinnati Park Board, Burnet Woods is composed of a mixture of mature deciduous woodlands with scrub areas, a few sections of lawn with trees, a few small wetlands and a pond. The park has been identified by the Audubon Society as an Important Bird Area due the ecological benefits it provides as an urban migrant trap for woodland birds. The Cincinnati Park Board recently identified this park as a priority park for removal of a variety of invasive species that have come to dominate the land over the years.
