Description | As of May 12, 2023. Due to the grant funds having a deadline, the project has been cancelled, there will not be a rebid. The Borough is seeking a LUMP SUM BASE BID to include all labor, equipment, overhead and compensation, and materials which are not listed in the Specifications section necessary to complete the Work. Bids may be mailed to the OWNER at 100 South Second Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201, Attn: Jamia L. Wright, Borough Secretary, and will be considered if received prior to the scheduled time of bid opening. The Bidder assumes the responsibility for timely delivery. A Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid is required to be submitted with the Bid. A non-collusion affidavit is required for this Bid. The Successful Bidder shall be required to supply a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid. Some, or all of this project will be funding by the Emergency Medical Services Covid-19 Recovery Program Grant The Contract will be subject to the Prevailing Minimum Wage Determination established by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry. The time for full and final completion of the work of this contract is June 7, 2023. Damages for delay of completion shall be liquidated at the rate of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) for each calendar day that expires after the specified date of completion. The OWNER hereby reserves the right, to reject any and/or all bids submitted or any part thereof or item therein. The OWNER also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in bids received. All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof unless delayed due to the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days from the actual date of bid opening in compliance with Act 317 of 1978 approved. The Work generally includes but it not limited to: renovation design/engineering; select demolition work; rough carpentry; flooring; installation of vanities, toilets, and showers; and plumbing and electrical work Any questions or requests for interpretation of any provision of the Bidding Documents shall be made to Chief Dustin Ulrich, Fire Chief, at 717-263-5872 or dulrich@chambersburgpa.gov at least seven (7) days prior to the submission deadline Question Deadline 03/28/2023 |
