Description

Work generally consists of furnishing and installing approximately 2,700 linear feet of 8" diameter ductile iron water main in Boston Post Road (Route 20) from MassDOT Sta. 111+65 to MassDOT Sta. 138+30 with associated valves, fittings, hydrants, appurtenances, and surface restoration. Trench dewatering will be required along the route of the new water main installation. The work consists of crossing the Sudbury River utilizing an empty utility bay under the existing MassDOT bridge and the installation of 10-inch high density polyethylene water main below an existing concrete box culvert crossing the road using horizontal directional drilling.
