Interior Remodel and Enclosure Rehabilitation - RFQ - Design Services

The first part of the project is the rehabilitation of the enclosure system. The overall superstructure of the library is in good condition; however, the enclosure system has experienced issues. In 2015 the LPPL hired an engineering firm to complete a Water Infiltration Investigative Study after noticing issues with the enclosure system. The study did find significant issues with the east and west elevations of the building. Minor issues were noted on the north and south elevations. The Water Infiltration Investigative Studies have been included with this RFQ for review. The second part of the project is the renovation of the existing interior space. The LPPL has completed a Visioning and Needs Assessment Study for their facility. This study should be used for reference, but does not include all the components the LPPL would like included in their Library of the Future. The project does not include any expansion of the existing library building. The intention is to renovate the interior of the existing building within the confines of the budget and site.
