Description | Fermi Research Alliance, LLC (FRA) is seeking a sub-contractor to Install Concrete Footings for Tumbler - Village Lab 2 at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory located in Batavia, IL. The Subcontractor's compensation for services rendered shall be based on a fixed firm price for the work detailed in the scope of wor. Please reference the scope of work, that is included in the RFP for specific details. This acquisition is being advertised as a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238110 Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors , Size Standards $16.5M. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. FRA intends to award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable All questions must be submitted in writing to ggomez@fnal.gov no later than Friday May 5, 2023 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Provide labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform the following concrete construction efforts. 1. Floor surface to be free of materials and broom swept. 2. Post barricades, caution tape and warning signs to completely secure work area from employees and other personnel. 3. Per approved Fermilab excavation permit, lay out floor per drawing "Lab 2 Floor Layout with Tumbler Footings" at east end of High Bay space. 4. Using wet saw operations, saw cut existing floor slab creating (6) 2' x 3' slab sections to be removed. 5. Remove slab sections of concrete and properly dispose of offsite. 6. Per drawing "Lab 2 Tumbler Footing Assembly", excavate areas to depth shown. Spoils to remain on site. APSTD/CC to provide location for dumping. 7. Install re-bar per drawing "Lab 2 Tumbler Footing Assembly". 8. Install (1) 1" x 10'L Copper ground rod (provided) in SW excavation, SW corner. Leave approx. 6" of ground rod above existing slab elevation. Below grade, connect ground rod to re-bar assembly by means of Copper C tap connector (provided). 9. Install expansion board material at exposed slab sections. 10.Pour and finish concrete. Finish smooth. Fill all over cut saw kerfs with concrete. 11.After 28-day cure time, using a dust free method prepare surface area of new footings and adjacent areas by grinding smooth. Fill any cracks, pits, or holes with epoxy-based filler compound. Sand patched surfaces smooth. 12.Apply 100% solids based pigmented latex-based epoxy primer to new footing areas. Primer shall be 8 mil thick and must create a barrier with a MVT rating of 15-17lb per 1000 sq. ft. 13.Apply a 100% solids latex-based epoxy system. Apply (2) coats of epoxy to achieve a thickness of ~ 12 mils. Color and finish shall match existing floor conditions.14. Clean up work area and dispose of debris as assigned by APSTD/CC. NOTES: o Contractor to confirm all dimensions. o Submit for approval latex-based epoxy floor coating products. o Submit Safety Data sheets for all materials to be used on project for review and approval. o Normal working hours shall be M-F, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm. Some flexibility can be given dependent on the activity for the day(s). |
