Description The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: Provide all labor, equipment and material to renovate the existing waste water plant at the NJHCS, Lyons Campus. The work will include but not limited to the installation of a copper filtration system, the replacement of the UV system, the rebuild of the existing sand filters and related equipment in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided. The work will also include the installation of two back flow preventers and their enclosures. The work will also include the demolition of the existing 10,000 gallon water tank. The intent of this project is to modernize the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Work consists of general construction, electrical, and mechanical work. General construction includes alterations, demolition, excavation, new enclosures, walks, grading, drainage, concrete tanks, concrete pads, metal stairs and gratings, fencing, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Electrical work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required electrical construction work on this project including conduits, wiring, lights, motor controls, variable frequency drives, motors, switches, alarms, process sensors and devices. Mechanical Work includes all labor, material, equipment and supervision to perform the required Mechanical construction work on this project including new copper filters, new comminutor, replacement of blowers and motors, replacement of air piping, refurbishing the clarifiers, sand filter refurbishing and replacement of pumps and supports and piping; also new potable water backflow prevention valves and pressure reducing valves in the domestic water system.
