Description

Targeted Group Businesses: 12%.Project is predominately to replace the roof on the Energy Management Center (EMC) and to build out an addition to the EMC to house locker rooms, as well as other efforts. Work will include roof replacement, steel work for a catwalk, a shed roof, and guardrail modifications. At the locker room area, work will include demolition, excavation, concrete work, steel work, masonry and metal framing, painting, tilework, and ceiling work. A break room area will be remodeled which will also include millwork. This project may also include an area of curtainwall replacement which will include abatement. The project may also include the replacement of steel stairs at the front entry. Civil work includes traffic control and perimeter security; pavement removal and replacement; fencing, bollard, curb and gutter removal and replacement; sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, and fuel system piping; signing and pavement markings. Mechanical scope includes HVAC piping and ductwork, steam, fire protection, and plumbing. Demolition scope includes the removal of pumps, piping, ductwork, domestic water piping, natural gas piping, roof drains, sanitary and storm sewers. New installation includes a new air handling unit with reheat VAVs, pumps, mechanical piping, steam heat exchanger, ducts and fans. New plumbing work includes underground sanitary and storm, domestic water piping, plumbing fixtures, and the phased installation of new roof drains. The project requires phased insulation of rooftop ductwork, equipment and piping. It also requires a pipefitter with experience performing hot-taps to large industrial systems. Electrical work includes power, lighting, lightning protection, fire alarm, secured area access control, video surveillance, and telecommunications systems. This project requires work on existing 15kV, 5kV, and 600V distribution systems and will provide a rental generator to provide temporary power to a medium voltage chiller during catwalk construction on roof.
