Description

a. New Fire Alarm Control Panel, annunciator and Remote Status Panel (LCD) b. Remove all existing FA cabling. Existing cabling may use where approved by DPS c. Remove all Conduits/Wiremold/Panduit/Boxes associated with the Fire Detection RFP that does not meeting the current DPS Design and Construction Standards. d. Install new cabling and wiremold throughout the building in accordance with DPS Design and Construction Standards, (new cabling color shall be determined by the DPS QA/QC department). All wiremold to be installed below existing ceilings. e. All new installation cabling work shall be in conduit or wiremolding where approved by DPS f. Install Initiation Devices (smoke, heat, CO and manual pull stations as needed) according to the AHJ. g. Remote lights as needed h. Install Notification Devices (Voice and Strobes) i. LED Dictionary (s) and Map(s),LED Point-lit Graphic Annunciator or UL listed Computer Graphic Annunciator with . Indicate on bid type of annunciator being proposed. j. Guards as needed to comply with NFPA 72 and DPS Design Standards k. Elevator(s): Connections and Upgrade. Elevator shunt trip l. Kitchen Hood System(s): All kitchen hood suppression connections m. All HVAC Systems must shutdown on General Alarm (including but is not limited to the Building Automation Systems). n. Fire/ Smoke Damper Controls (all existing fire and smoke dampers must properly engage). o. Building Automation Systems: Contractor to Subcontract all Building Automation System Connections and equipment shutdowns with DPS Controls Vendor. p. Fire Sprinkler System: Flow(s)/ Tamper(s) Switch Connections If Flow(s)/ Tamper(s) are not monitored or functioning correctly, Contractor shall subcontract a Fire Suppression contractor to install/ replace components under this RFP. q. Auditorium/ Gym and other locations as needed : Lighting/ Sound Control Connection r. AES Subscriber Installation/ Connection. Update as needed for new detection to comply with AHJ for separate alarm signals. s. Replace and Upgrade: For Ceiling Tiles: The entire ceiling tile(s) affected by the removal. t. New Graphic Maps and Annunciators. DPS to provide new room numbers after project award u. Updating all Electrical Panel Labels v. Patch and Painting: Where Conduits/Wiremold/Panduit/Boxes have been removed, Contractor shall patch and paint (matching existing wall color): All new wall mounted devices mounted in the existing locations shall have the wall patch and paint (matching existing wall color) For Drywall/ Plaster: 6” width to the left and right of the removal location times the length. Contractor shall patch and paint (matching existing wall color).
