ROAD PAVING BIDS

The Town ofNorthfield, VT (Northfield) seeks bids from qualified contractors to install 488' of five-foot wide concrete sidewalk with granite curbing long a portion of the northerly side of Lower Central Street. The new sidewalk will connect to the existing sidewalk on Wall Street. The new sidewalk shall be constructed to the following standards. The sidewalk shall be 488'in length, five feet wide and five inches in depth. The driveway crossings will be eight inches in depth. The contractor shall use wire mesh (6x6 W2.1/W2.1 8/8 (301bs/100SF) and 4000 psi concrete. The sidewalk subbase shall consist of 6 to 8 inches of crushed gravel sub-base. The project shall also include 17 feet of concrete sidewalk on the opposite side ofthe street to then reset curb and pour concrete for new cross walk approach to sidewalk. The project shall be completed by July 15, 2022. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All contractors, and any sub-contractors, must comply with any and all applicable laws, statutes, ordinances, rules, regulations, and/or requirements thereof, which relate to or in any manner affect the performance ofthis agreement. All contractors, and any sub-contractors must carry adequate insurance coverage (not less than $l,000,000-per occurrence). $1,000,000 - General Aggregate Applying, in total, $1,000,000 - Products/Completed Operations Aggregate, $50,000 - Fire/Legal/Liability, and $ 1,000,000 -Automotive Liability), and must affirm being an equal opportunity employer with an affirmative action plan. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
