Construction of City Bridge Improvements

ids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than ten (10) percent of the Bid, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will within ten (10) days after written notice having been given of such award, enter into a written contract with the City of Thomasville, Georgia, in accordance with the accepted proposal. Bids must be sealed and plainly marked "CITY BRIDGE IMPROVEMENTS" and must be delivered before the time specified. The bidder shall complete, execute and submit the following documents from these contract documents: Section 00410 - Bid Form, Section 00430 - Bid Bond, Section 00450 - Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, Section 00451 - Contractor's Oath and Non-collusion Affidavit of Subcontractor. Bidders are required to review the insurance requirement stated in Section 00730 - Supplementary Conditions of the contract specifications with their provider to insure all aspects of the requirements can be met. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the request of bids for a period of sixty (60) days Separate Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract will be required. All bid bonds, performance and payment bonds, insurance contracts and certificates of insurance shall be either executed by or counter-signed by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company, having his/her place of business in the State of Georgia, and in all ways complying with the insurance laws of the State of Georgia. The City of Thomasville, Georgia, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, to re-advertise, and/or to award the contract in the best interest of the City. The deadline for receipt of deposit (City Engineer Office) for plans and specifications to assure delivery is 3:00 PM, July 19, 2022. (2) Concrete bridge deck and pile spall repairs for Martin Luther King Jr. Drive bridge (over CSX railroad). (3) Expansion joint cleaning and replacements at both Martin Luther King Jr. Drive bridge (over CSX Railroad) and Chatham Drive bridge (over Bruce's Branch). All construction shall comply with the 2021 GDOT Specifications. All work shall be completed within forty five (45) consecutive calendar days following receipt ofthe notice to proceed
