Description | Remove Underground Fuel Storage Tanks & Install Aboveground Tanks at Cedar Point State Park, Town of Cape Vincent; Keewaydin State Park, Town of Alexandria; and Wellesley Island State Park Town of Orleans, Jefferson County, New York. Contract includes all work indicated in the drawings and specifications for General Contract #D005849 or “GC” including but not limited to all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the Removal of the underground fuel storage tanks at the Cedar Point (3,000-gallon fiberglass), Wellesley Island (4,000-gallon fiberglass) and Keewaydin (3,000-gallon steel) Marinas and replace with aboveground double wall steel fuel storage tanks. Contractor is responsible for complete demolition and disposal of existing tanks, utilities, etc. Contractor is responsible for all concrete and masonry related work. Contractor shall provide the new storage tanks. Contractor is responsible for all electrical work. Contractor is responsible for all earthwork, including backfill and compaction, dewatering, erosion control. Backfill and compaction pertains to filling the void where the existing tank was as well as backfill (if necessary), if contaminated soil is removed. Contractor is responsible for all exterior improvements some of which include asphalt, fencing, and plantings. Contractor is responsible for all utilities (including any associated testing). It is not expected that hazardous materials will be encountered in the work. Contractor is responsible for removing and properly disposing of any contaminated soil, if found, by use of the allowance, up to $35,000. |
