Base Cable Services

The Contractor shall provide all personnel, transportation, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to provide cable television (CATV) and other services to include constructing, installing, operating, maintaining or removing cable systems as defined in this Performance Work Statement. The cable system shall pass and shall be capable of providing service to all buildings on Tyndall AFB and any other buildings as set forth in the description of CATV subscriber section of this contract or as designated by the Contracting Officer (CO). A Franchise Agreement (provided under a separate document) shall provide the terms under which the contractor is granted a non-exclusive privilege to engage in the provision of cable television and other services in the event the Franchisee is not otherwise authorized to transmit television signals. The privilege granted and regulated in the Agreement is solely to allow the Franchisee to engage in the business of providing CATV and other services on the Installation. The Franchisee, in order to construct, install, operate, and maintain a CATV system and obtain subscribers will need (1) A Franchise, (2) a license issued by the installation’s Real Property Management Office to construct, install, operate, and maintain equipment and, (3) a letter granting access to the Installation to solicit subscribers.
