NO BIDS ARE TO BE DROPPED OFF AT THE ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Bids must be made on the Township's proposal form and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside addressed to the Township of Evesham, Office of the Township Clerk, Municipal Complex, 984 Tuckerton Road, Marlton, New Jersey 08053. Bids shall be accepted no later than 10:00 AM at the Township Clerk's office, Room 201. The bidder shall also provide a copy of the bid documents on a USB flash drive in the bid envelope and must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check drawn to the order of the Township of Evesham for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid, provided said security need not be more than $20,000.00. All bid guarantees shall be accompanied by an executed consent from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey, agreeing to furnish the required Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond upon the award of contract. The Township will not assume responsibility for bids mailed in. The signed Proposal forms and bid security must be delivered to the place on or before the hour named above. The accepted bidder must sign the contract within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award or forfeit his bid security. Bid securities will be returned to all but the three apparent lowest responsible bidders. All other bid securities will be returned after awarding and signing of the contract and approval of the Contractor's Performance Bond. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), P.L. 1963. and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12101, et.seq.). The prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150, Laws of 1963, applies to this proposal. In accordance with P.L. 2021, c. 301 a contractor submitting the lowest bid for a contract that is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, if that bid is 10 percent or more lower than the next lowest bid, to certify to the public body that the prevailing wage rates required by the Act shall be paid. The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive technical defects and make the award to the bidder most competent to serve the Township's requirements. The Bond must be drawn by an acceptable surety company and be in the form of a combination Performance and two (2) year Maintenance Bond in the full amount of the contract. The two (2) year maintenance period shall begin on the date of the acceptance of the work by the OWNER. |
