Description | The work for which bids are asked includes the following: Provide and install chemical feed equipment, storage and containment tank for addition of caustic soda, chemical feed injectors, digital chemical scales for caustic soda and sodium hypochlorite, chemical storage and containment tank for sodium hypochlorite, safety equipment, and well discharge pipe modifications. Work also includes the following electrical construction: replace existing programmable logic controller with new PLC, and associated power distribution equipment and circuitry. Bid will include an additive alternative to provide and install a new magnetic flow meter and associated electrical work. The bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. Federal wage rates can be found at website. Be aware that project Administrators, Bidders, and Contractors are required to use the latest federal wage rate available at the time of bid opening. This project anticipates use of Wisconsin DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program. We encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), and Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) to submit bid proposals. Code. If a subcontractor awards subcontracts, these requirements shall apply to the subcontractor. The Contractor shall conform to the "Use of American Iron and Steel" provision of H.R. 3547 Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014, section 436, including all iron and steel products used in the project.
