Description | In accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by Bramhall Engineering and Surveying Company, (the Engineer), the project consists of asphalt and concrete pavement milling, asphalt roadway rehabilitation, curb repairs, sidewalk and curb ramp replacement, pavement marking, signage, guardrail replacement, casting adjustments, drive repairs, lawn restoration and maintenance of traffic. Questions by prospective bidders concerning this project should be directed to Bramhall Engineering & Surveying Co., Mr. Aaron Appell, by fax to (440) 934-7879 or email toaappell@bramhall-engineering.com. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid Security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said Surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed by no later than November 11th, 2022 with substantial completion of the pavement by October 28th, 2022. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, service and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative code Chapter 123 is required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Lorain County and the City of Sheffield Lake, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, (614) 644-2239. If the City determines to award the contract, the City will award it based on the lowest and best bid as determined in the discretion of the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein.
