Description | On-Call Environmental Science and Engineering Services, Cary has the option of requesting a selected firm to develop a scope of work for individual projects utilizing a Task Order. The Task Order will include a task-based scope with associated costs for the purpose of providing environmental assessment, environmental engineering design, remediation, or environmental management services and other related projects as may be necessary. In general, the following tasks may be included in the scope of work, but not limited to: 1. Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM E 1527-13); 2. Asbestos surveys (survey of structures for asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) by licensed inspectors and preparation of a report documenting ACMs); 3. Asbestos abatement design, abatement oversight and air monitoring (including representing Cary as Project Manager and secure the services of qualified subcontractors for the abatement of asbestos-containing materials in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations); 4. Soil, surface water, and groundwater testing/sampling (including collection of samples of surficial or subsurface soils or surface water for analysis for petroleum constituents or other hazardous substances. Also, installation of groundwater monitoring wells for the purpose of collecting groundwater samples and determining groundwater flow direction. Preparation of technical reports for submittal to appropriate regulatory agencies); 5. Lead-based paint consulting services (including licensed professionals to perform LBP surveys, and LBP abatement design and oversight); 6. Solid and Hazardous Waste Management and Permitting (including underground storage tank (UST) and aboveground storage tank (AST) consulting services); 7. Assembling bid documents, plans and specification for environmental projects, including asbestos/lead-based paint abatement and demolition projects, administering the bid process, making recommendations for contractor selection, and project oversight/site management; 8. Wetland and stream delineation (including flagging jurisdictional features/buffers, preparation of delineation plans and submittal of permit applications to US Army Corps of Engineers and NC Division of Water Resources); andm, 9. Any other environmental skill set as required. |
