As Needed Pipeline Repairs Contract

Pasco County Utilities owns and maintains miles of gravity sewer collection system, force and water mains, distribution lines throughout the County, of which portions of the systems are over 40 years old. Most of the pipeline systems are in Pasco County rights of way with portions of older pipes located in utility easements, typically 15 to 25 ft. wide and some of the sewer systems may be located in backyards. The existing gravity system is primarily a mixture of VCP and PVC pipe, with a small amount of DIP, ranging in size from 8 to 18 inch in diameter with predominant diameter size of 8–inch. Existing manholes may be of precast concrete, cast in place concrete and/or brick. The County requires. Water and sewer distribution systems, and pressurized lines are mainly PVC and Ductile Iron (DIP) ranging from 2 to 36 inches in diameter. 1. Repairs to water, sewer and reclaimed pipelines. 2. Repairs to service connections, trenchless and/or conventional open cut, as may be required. 3. Installation of new pipelines by open cut trench, to accommodate repairs, line replacement and/or connections to manholes or service laterals. 4. Installation of new pipelines under existing roadways. 5. Repairs to concrete manholes, which may include replacement of manhole sections, repairs to manhole joints, spot or crack repairs, replacement of manhole to pipe seals, parging and lining. 6. Removal, modification and replacement of manhole bench (channel) to accommodate repairs or manhole modifications as maybe necessary. 7. Repairs to existing brick manholes and/or portions of manholes, repair of holes, repointing, replacement or repair to manhole-pipe connections, parging and lining. 8. Repairs to lift station wet well structures, which may include all or any of repairs to concrete, repairs to concrete reinforcing, repairs or replacement of manhole covers or hatches, repairs or replacement of pipe penetrations and lining of structure. 9. Installation of new precast manholes over existing gravity sewer or in new locations as may be necessary to accommodate relocations. 10. Replacement or adjustment to manhole top sections and/or frame and covers. 11. Maintenance of traffic as may be necessary to accommodate work 12. By-pass pumping.
