Description | Hurricane Matthew significantly damaged the left bank of Cross Creek at Lamont Street. Hurricane Florence and subsequent flood-stage waters further damaged the left bank. The purpose of this project is to install permanent sheet piles to preclude further erosion of the slope and stream bank, to replace sections of greenway trail, and to install engineered systems in the creek channel. The repair includes over 18,000 square feet of sheet pile wall, restoration and installation of stream channel controls, and both demolition and replacement of asphalt greenway trail. |
