Description | The project consists of approximately 8,800 lineal feet of 6-inch PVC water main, and all associated valves, fittings, fire hydrants, service lines, service connections, and asphalt replacement. These documents may be downloaded by selecting this project from the "Current Projects Bidding" tab. Contractor and any of the Contractor's Subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena MT 59604- 8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractor or Subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid no less than the minimum standard prevailing rate of wages for each classification; which shall be the higher of either the Montana Prevailing Wage Rates or the Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rates. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. This project is funded in part or in whole with grant/loan funding from the Montana Coal Endowment Program (MCEP), the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), the DNRC Renewable Resource Gant and Loan Program (RRGL), the State Revolving Fund Loan Program (SRF) and the Army Corp of Engineers Water Resource Development Act (WRDA). CDBG regulations governing the grant require that, to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG assisted project will be extended to local lower-income residents. Further, to the greatest extent feasible, business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area will be utilized. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid that is in the best interest of the Owner.
