Description

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Hall County Clerk at 121 S. Pine Street in Grand Island, Nebraska for construction of project C40(340) Concrete Box Culvert on 70th road. Bids received after the specified time will be returned unopened to sender. Bids will be publicly opened and read in the Hall County Board of Commissioners Room located in the Hall County Administration Building at 121 S. Pine Street in Grand Island, Nebraska. Envelopes containing the bids shall be sealed and must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond in an amount of not less than five percent of the amount bid. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of forty-five (45) days after the date fixed for bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to furnish evidence of insurance and to furnish a performance and payment bond in the sum of the full amount of the contract. The successful bidder will be required to comply with fair labor standards as required by Nebraska R.R.S. 73-102 and comply with Nebraska R.R.S. 48-657 pertaining to contributions to the Unemployment Compensation Fund of the State of Nebraska. TITLE VI: Hall County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notified all bidden that it will affirmatively insure that in any contact entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for an award.
